Some of the R&D projects which have been carried out by our team are listed below:

  • Rotor Blade Design and Analysis for High Speed Helicopter
    • This project was supported by the Secretariat for Defense Industries in Turkey and supervised by the Turkish Aerospace Industry. It was successfully completed in 2018.
    • Aeroelastic design of the blades was first carried out. After that, a blade design for high speed helicopter based on composite materials of carbon/fiberglass epoxy matrices wad conducted.
  • Analysis of Acoustic Panels of a Helicopter Fuselage
    • This project was supported by the Secretariat for Defense Industries in Turkey and supervised by the Turkish Aerospace Industry. It was successfully completed in 2019.
    • In this project, analysis of acoustic panels made of fiber reinforced composite materials has been performed for a helicopter fuselage.
  • Design of a Glass Reinforced Plastics Tube Under High Pressure
    • This project was supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).
  • Numerical and Experimental Investigation of Oscillating Wings for Power Production from Wind Energy
    • This project was supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).
    • It was shown in this project that the oscillating wings can be used as an alternative design to the conventional wind turbines in generating power from wind.
  • Low-altitude UAV for Regional Supervision and Ground Station Development
    • This project was supported by Ankara Development Agency.
    • In the project, the software of tracking objects was developed and successfully implemented for two quadrotors.
  • Wind Energy Assessment of more than 200-MW Projects
    • Those projects were supported by local companies. Assessment of wind energy potential using different techniques were conducted and feasibility reports were prepared.
  • Design and Flowfield Computations of Turbomachinery Systems
    • We have offered turbochargers, compressor, fan and microfan design and analysis for many companies.
